Kirsten Ann Hendricks
I’m a long time resident of Orlando, but I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived there until age four.
At that time my family moved to England where I spent most of my elementary years.
Next, we moved to Jamaica for a year and then to Orlando, where I attended Saint Margaret Mary School in Winter Park. We moved again and this time to the Cayman Islands where I spent my remaining childhood living between Maitland and Cayman Brac.
I went on to pursue a long time interest in real estate working in property management in various positions in that field, including marketing, leasing and consulting.
I moved on to a title company where I worked as a title processor. It was during this time that I considered getting a real estate license and working as a real estate agent in the residential market.
Since purchasing a home is one of the biggest milestones people cross in life, I liked the idea of being a part of that process and helping to make it the great experience it should be.
However, as I began to gain more experience in title, working as a processor, post closer, a closer and then closing coordinator, title seemed to be a good fit for me. So rather than pursue a real estate license, I decided to become a licensed title agent.
In 2005 I opened a title agency. The company was Realty Advantage Title, LLC, located in Maitland. However, with the drastic market changes that occurred in 2008, the company was forced to close in 2009. Within months of the company closing, I accepted a position with the Akerman Law firm in Orlando, where I was hired to establish a closing department handling residential builder closings in the Orlando and Tampa markets.
Zimmerman, Kiser & Sutcliffe, P.A., offered me a paralegal positon in 2010, and again I was hired to start a residential closing department for that firm.
During the five years plus that I worked at ZKS I handled a variety of residential transactions including foreclosures, pre-foreclosures, short sales, seller financing, REO resales, probate sales, bankruptcy sales, sales involving trusts, 1031 exchanges and more. While my focus was primarily residential I also handled a variety of commercial transactions on a regular basis.
The year 2015 brought some changes to the title industry and one of those changes is the opening of my new real estate title company,
Bright Title & Trust, LLC. I am very excited to be offering my extensive experience, knowledge and professionalism to the service of the real estate community in the greater Orlando area, and look forward to demonstrating that Bright Title & Trust is truly “BRIGHTER” than the rest.
